Parade Route
The parade route is 5.5 miles (9 km) and will take two hours. The parade begins at the corner of Green Street and Orange Grove Boulevard in Pasadena. The route travels north on Orange Grove Boulevard at a leisurely pace and then turns east onto Colorado Boulevard. Near the end of the route, the parade turns north onto Sierra Madre Boulevard and concludes at Villa Street.
Grandstand Seating (Ticketed)
Grandstand seating tickets and advance parking reservations are available through Sharp Seating, the official ticket office for the Tournament of Roses. Prices vary by location from $75 to $125. Tip: Purchase your parking through Sharp Seating to select a parking location near your seats.
Finding Your Grandstand Seats
- Open your ticket on your device.
- When looking at your ticket, the “Section,” correlates to which grandstand you are in.
- When looking at the “Section,” please only look at the number before the dash. For example, if you see Section “14-1,” you are in Grandstand 14.

Free Wheelchair Accessible Seating - First Come, First Served
Limited complimentary seating is available at three locations in Pasadena. Submit a request with the Tournament of Roses here. Each person with a disability is allowed up to four guests, free with approved application. At one of the three viewing areas there is a section with audio description for visually impaired visitors and another section with sign language interpreters. Tickets to all viewing areas are free. No seats are provided, so viewers need to bring their own chairs, cushions, stools, etc.

Metro A Line Light Rail Service
Parking sells out each year, for the best experience make sure to arrange parking ahead of time. Consider taking the Metro A Line train that runs from Long Beach and through the San Gabriel Valley.
The A Line service begins around 4:00 a.m. Plan your trip on your phone or computer through popular and easy tools with Google Maps, Apple Maps, the Transit app, the Moovit app and metro.net.
The Metro stations closest to the Rose Parade route are:
- Del Mar Station (walk .3 miles north to the parade route on Colorado Boulevard)
- Memorial Park Station (walk .2 miles south to parade route on Colorado Blvd.)
- Lake Station (walk .4 miles south to parade route on Colorado Blvd.)
- Allen Station (walk .4 miles south to parade route on Colorado Blvd.)

There is parking available at many Metro Rail stations. Some lots are paid, some are free - be sure to check here before arriving at the station.

Metro will also provide regular bus service to areas near the Rose Parade, Rose Bowl Game and Post Parade areas. Buses will originate from locations throughout the county. Kick off your New Year with a hassle-free Metrolink ride to the Tournament of Roses events via Union Station. Metrolink is providing early-morning train service on Jan. 1 on the Ventura County, Orange County, and 91/Perris Valley Lines, and adjusting service on the Antelope Valley and San Bernardino lines so that trains arrive at LA Union Station between 7 and 7:30 am. From there, riders can transfer for free to the Metro A Line to reach Pasadena. See more info on metrolinktrains.com.

Car & RV Street Parking (Free)
Please note that due to road closures, visitors are strongly encouraged to park before 6 a.m., especially at locations near the parade route. Please do not rely upon GPS as road closures will be in effect and may not reflect on the GPS application. There is no parking allowed on the parade route itself, and any parked vehicles will be towed away.
Street Parking Rules and Regulations
- Holiday Overnight Parking Citation Moratorium: vehicles legally parking on city streets from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. from December 23 through January 3. Overnight parking citations will resume at 2 a.m. on January 4. However, violations for red curb/no parking zones, driveway blocks and blocking fire hydrants will continue to be issued.
- Adhere to all dates/times of the "No Parking-Tow Away" signs posted throughout the City.
- Always adhere to all painted curb markings on City streets.
All curbs, accessible parking, and taxi, fire and bus zones will continue to be enforced throughout events. - There is no parking allowed on the parade route itself, and any parked vehicles will be towed away.
- Parking is not allowed on City streets between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. except where posted otherwise.
- Illegally parked vehicles will be impounded. If vehicle is impounded, call the Police Department’s general line at (626) 744-4501.
- Parking for cars, campers and RVs is allowed in all legal spaces. All posted parking restrictions (1hr., 2hr., 4hr., etc.) will be strictly enforced except for the following holidays: Christmas Day and New Year's Day. “No parking” signs must be adhered to at all times, no exceptions.
- Parking violations can be reported to Parking Enforcement at (626) 744-6440.
- In compliance with the Pasadena Police Department, vehicles parked within one block of the parade route may be subject to search if there is a public safety concern.

Colorado Boulevard will once again close to motor vehicles earlier than in prior years for the staging of the Rose Parade. Colorado Boulevard will close beginning at 10 p.m. on December 31st, and will remain closed through the conclusion of the staging and clean-up following the parade. The parade route will reopen by 2 p.m. on January 1st.

Safety Tips
Enhanced security measures will be in effect on the parade route. Pasadena police officers will resolve problems quickly and remove anyone from the scene who violates the law or disturbs the peace. Police canine teams will also be patrolling Colorado Boulevard. "If You See Something, Say Something®"

- Drink healthy fluids and consume nourishing meals to avoid dehydration.

Grandstand Seating Prohibited Items
- Your ticket or valid credential must be displayed to any usher, public safety personnel or any authorized representative of the Tournament of Roses upon demand. All patrons are subject to search. Objects that may block the view or interfere with other patrons, or that may potentially pose a threat to safety, are prohibited.
- Glass bottles, metal bottles, thermoses, coolers
- Glass, metal or hard plastic containers
- Bottles and cans of any kind are prohibited. Factory sealed bottles of water, 24 oz. or less, are allowed and limited to 2 bottles per person.

Overnight Parade Route Camping Restrictions
What you can do:
- Overnight camping is permitted only on the night of Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
- A position on the sidewalk may be maintained along the parade route beginning at noon, December 31. All persons and property, such as blankets, chairs and personal items, must remain on the curb until 11 p.m. At that time, spectators may move out to the blue “Honor Line” but not past it.
- Small, professionally manufactured barbecues elevated at least 1 foot off the ground are allowed on the parade route as long as they are 25 feet from buildings and other combustibles. A fire extinguisher must be readily available.
- Minors under the age of 18 may be on the parade route from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. only if they are supervised by an adult.

What you can't do:
- Appearance in the parade is prohibited for any entries/marchers who have not been approved by the Pasadena Tournament of Roses®. Stay off the street and do not pass the blue “Honor Line.”
- Tents, sofas, and boxes of any type that can be used as stools or seats are prohibited along the route.
- Unoccupied chairs are not allowed and will be removed from the parade route.
- Bonfires are strictly prohibited and considered “illegal burns.”
- ALL fireworks are prohibited except as part of official scheduled events.
- No items may be sold along the parade route without a City permit.
- Selling space along the parade route, other than grandstand seating, is illegal.
- It is illegal to buy, sell or give away horns on the parade route.
- No public areas—sidewalks, curbs, gutters, streets or ramps—may be blocked or roped off.
- No ladders or scaffolding may be used as elevation for viewing the activities.
- Pets are not recommended along the parade; keep them safe at home! Only officially certified and properly identified service animals are recommended along the parade or at game.
- Throwing any object into the parade—or at passing vehicles or pedestrians the night before the parade—is dangerous and prohibited. Violators will be cited, and their property will be seized.
- Unauthorized vehicles obstructing emergency travel lanes or parked in restricted areas will be towed at owners’ expense. No exceptions.
- Open containers of alcohol are illegal on public streets, sidewalks and all other public areas. Violators will be cited or arrested.
- The throwing of any objects into the roadway or parade route, including seemingly harmless items as tortillas, marshmallows, or flowers, is prohibited.
- A Temporary Flight Restriction (TFR) will be in place for both the parade and Rose Bowl Game® . Anyone who attempts to fly a drone will be subject to fine, arrest and/or imprisonment. Information about the TFR and all federal drone regulations can be found on the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) website: www.faa.gov.
Pasadena Fire Department responds to more than twice the number of calls on parade day than any other day. These calls include reports of hypothermia, illegal burning, miscellaneous medical issues, assaults and alcohol-related incidents. Be safe and smart!
For your safety and for the safety of others, please remember the City’s no-smoking policies [Pasadena Municipal Code section 8.78.071 (A) 4] prohibit smoking in outdoor public gathering events/special events/parades/fairs. This policy includes the use of cannabis and vaping devices (aka e-cigarettes). The public is advised to NOT use any vaping products.
