Tendon Tempura Carlos Junior is an intimate restaurant that specializes in fresh tempura. Chef Carlos Pinto went all the way to Japan from his hometown in Peru to learn how to cook the “real tempura.” The menu features authentic tempura bowls, Japanese comfort food like udon, soba, and sushi rolls.
One iconic menu item is the half-boiled egg tempura. Pop the egg yolk over the tempura bowl and watch the egg yolk drip into the rice and tempura for a satisfying bowl. Inside seats are limited so it is recommended to arrive early and sign the waitlist sheet.
